There is a growing trend in the politics of Rajasthan. Congress has stepped up the protest to call the assembly session. The situation of direct confrontation between the Raj Bhavan and the government has become visible. These days, in the state politics, there is speculation about whether the government is on the basis of majority in power or not. Turning the pages of the historical shows that the opposition brings a motion of no confidence, but it is not so, the ruling party also claims to remain in the government by bringing a confidence motion.

Looking at the history, since the formation of the government in the state, there have been 4 occasions in which the government brought the trust vote in the house, and got the right to remain in power from the assembly. The same motion of no-confidence is always brought by the opposition against the ruling party, but the confidence motion must have a sufficient majority for the government to remain in power for itself. In the politics of the present state, the Gehlot government is probably seeking a vote of confidence by calling an assembly session.

After looking at the historical pages of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, it is known that till now, the confidence motion has been tabled in the House four times from different governments. In these 4 times the trust motion, 3 times alone Bhairon Singh Shekhawat has brought it to the House, and has succeeded in passing the trust motion. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had once brought a motion of trust between his former government, ie from 2009 to 2013, and he also succeeded in getting the proposal passed. It is hoped that this time history can prove to be helpful for CM Ashok Gehlot.
