Patna: After ousting the BJP from power in Bihar, Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal-United and Lalu Prasad Yadav's Party Rashtriya Janata Dal have started preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Jd(U) national president Lalan Singh has indicated this after meeting Lalu Prasad Yadav.

On Thursday, Lalan Singh went to meet Lalu Prasad Yadav. Talking to reporters after this meeting, Lalan Singh said that together they will uproot the BJP from power in 2024. JD(U) national president Lalan Singh said he had come to seek Lalu Prasad's blessings to uproot the BJP in 2024. He said that the target is only to defeat the BJP in 40 seats. In 2024, the BJP has to reduce 40 seats. We will ensure that the BJP is defeated in Bihar as well as in Bengal, and Jharkhand.

Was the Bihar cabinet also discussed with Lalu? On this, Lalan Singh said that no the cabinet was not discussed. He said that who will get what ministry will be decided with Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav in Bihar. The new Government of Bihar was sworn in at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. In which Tejashwi Yadav has become the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar again. Nitish Kumar has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 8th time. Seven parties are included in this grand alliance including the Rashtriya Janata Dal. A decision on cabinet expansion is likely to be taken after August 15. Nitish Kumar will prove his majority in the Assembly on August 24.
