Win a prize of three lakh rupees by offering options for single-use plastic

New Delhi: The central government has launched a campaign against single-use plastic. The government is trying all kinds of options to make this mission a success. In this episode, the government has come up with a new plan. The government has challenged the introduction of single-use plastic for start-ups. Under this, the first winner will be given a cash prize of three lakhs and the second person will be given a cash prize of two lakh rupees.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) stated that this challenge will encourage innovators and start-ups to offer a single-use plastic option. This challenge will be open to all start-up companies. But the products offered should be practical, have theoretical proof of the product or can it be produced on a large scale. The winners will be selected by a panel of experts. The appropriate first of the participants will be trimmed.

After this, the product which meets the standards set by the department will be rewarded. The winners will be announced on the 31st of this month. The government is trying to stop using single-use plastic. It is not completely banned. Awareness campaigns are being carried out to get rid of such polluting plastics. The most commonly used single-use plastics include plastic bags, soda and water bottles, food packings, small pipes (straws) used for beverages.
