New Delhi: Daughters of the country are illuminating their own and the name of their country in every field. Girls in the army are getting ready to face the enemy side by side. Now, The Indian Air Force Wing Commander S Dhami has done a great job of raising the head of every daughter in the country by making a difference and becoming the Flight Commander of the S Dhami Flying Unit and also of the Chetak Helicopter Unit at Hindon Air Base. She has also taken over as Flight Commander. What's more, this is the second post in the command of the Flight Commander Unit.
Dhami, who grew up in Ludhiana, Punjab, wanted to be a pilot from the days of High School and is also the mother of a nine-year-old boy who has touched new heights in her career. In her 15-year career, S. Dhami has been flying Chetak and Cheetah helicopters so far. Wing Commander Dhami is also the first female qualified flying instructors of the Indian Air Force for Chetak and Cheetah helicopters.
Another milestone has been set up by women in the Indian Armed Forces on August 26 with the appointment of Wing Commander Shalija Dhami, who has also become the first female flight commander of the Indian Air Force's operating unit. Wing Commander Dhami is also the first woman officer of the IAF to get a permanent commission for the long term.
