New Delhi [India], Dec 15 (NT): The winter session of the Parliament will embark on Friday.
The session, which is set to begin more than a month later than its timetable, will conclude on January 5, 2018.
This session of the Parliament will have 14 sittings.
Topics like the Muslim Women's Rights on Marriage Bill connected to triple talaq and legislation on granting Constitutional status to the Backward Class Commission are among the key bills, which will be listed for debate and passage.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar stated the Supplementary Demand for Grants and three ordinances together with GST compensation to states will also be a high-flying concern of debate.
On the Introductory day, the Lok Sabha will be called a halt for the day after paying tribute to its sitting and former members who met with angels after the Monsoon Session.
The Parliament Winter Session is also likely to witness heavy fireworks as the Congress Party will be ready to crook the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Government over an array of issues.
 In recent times The Centre was under attack by the Opposition for holdup the winter session allegedly because of Gujarat Assembly Polls.
