Wipro joins WEF initiative to advance racial justice and social equality

Wipro Limited, a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company, Wednesday  ( March 3)  announced that it has joined the 'Partnering for Racial Justice in Business initiative' launched by the World Economic Forum  (WEF) to promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, equity and justice for people of all racial backgrounds in the workplace.

The initiative is focused towards driving action and accountability for companies to confront racism at a systemic level, set new global standards for racial justice in business and achieve necessary policy changes for the inclusion and advancement of professionals with under-represented racial and ethnic identities.

Reacting to the development, Shares of WIPRO LTD hit an intraday high at Rs. 436 per share, as compared to the previous closing of Rs 430 on the National Stock Exchange. The total traded volume of shares during the day was 54,42,240, (till 12.45 pm).
