Mumbai: Varsha Raut, wife of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, on Saturday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in Mumbai in connection with the infamous money laundering case in Maharashtra. In fact, the Enforcement Directorate has questioned Varsha, wife of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, for more than nine hours in a money laundering case. After the interrogation was over, Raut said, "She and her husband are with Uddhav Thackeray and will continue to support him." In fact, the Enforcement Directorate has questioned Varsha Raut in a money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in the redevelopment of Patra Chawl and related transactions. On the other hand, the central agency is investigating the alleged Rs 1,034-crores land scam related to the redevelopment of Patra Chawl in Mumbai's Goregaon area. At the same time, the agency arrested Sanjay Raut in the same case.

Varsha Raut, who came out of the ED office after the interrogation, interacted with the media and said, "I am with Uddhav Thackeray. I have answered all the questions that the ED has asked me.'' Apart from this, Varsha Raut also said that she has not been called again by the ED officials, if called again, she will cooperate with the agency. Let me tell you all that the ED issued a summons to Varsha Raut earlier this week. He was called to the ED office on Saturday. In fact, Varsha Raut had reached the ED office at Ballard Estate in south Mumbai at 10.40 am.

It is reported that on the basis of the evidence found in the investigation so far and the information received in the interrogation of Sanjay Raut, Varsha Raut was questioned. It is also being reported that the agency questioned Varsha Raut about the deal for Dadar flat and Alibaug plot. Apart from this, the agency suspects that the plot in Alibag has been purchased with the money of the scam. However, at the moment, the agency wants to account for more than 1 crore of money from Varsha Raut.
