The Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded the withdrawal of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's security detail if he doesn't apologize for his statement where he said that his bodyguards may assassinate him like former PM Indira Gandhi. He had also said that his PSOs report to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP has written a letter to the Commissioner of the Delhi Police seeking a review of the security cover given to the CM. The saffron party has said that Kejriwal should be asked to apologize to his security staff or his security be withdrawn.

“I believe the entire security squad around Arvind Kejriwal must be facing mental depression after hearing their protectee's statement fearing death at their hands. All security staff deployed around him should be given psychological counselling and Delhi Police should immediately review the security cover given by it to CM Kejriwal,” Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said.

While campaigning in Punjab yesterday the Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor sparked row after he said that the BJP will get kill him killed through his PSO just like Indira Gandhi was killed.

“The cops you see around me, they all report to the BJP. My PSO also reports to the BJP.  They can end my life within minutes," Kejriwal had said.

Later, BJP’s Vijender Gupta in a tweet alleged that before the slap-gate on May 4, the Delhi CM had asked the liaison officer to lift the security cover from his vehicle.

“The chief minister's instruction is registered in the daily diary entry (of the police). Since I had disclosed about it, AAP could not get electoral gain of the incident. Out of frustration, Kejriwal says PSO reports to BJP,” he tweeted.

Referring to Gupta's tweet, AAP released a press statement saying that it is pretty clear that BJP has been behind all the attacks on Arvind Kejriwal.
