New Delhi: After the announcement of demonetization, people can be seen in a panic State, or they have to stand in long queues to withdraw money from banks as well as from ATMs. So, In order to lower the frustration of people, Oil companies have decided that a Citizen can withdraw the cash from a petrol pump.

What you need to do is, just swipe your debit card at Petrol Pumps and dispence Rs. 2000, but initially this facility will be available at 2,500 petrol stations that have card swipe machines from State Bank of India. And in the upcoming three days, people can take advantage of this facility from 20,000 outlets that contain card swipe machines from HDFC bank, Citibank and ICICI Bank.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited hold meetings with the head of State Bank of India, Arundhati Bhattacharya, after which the decision was taken.

According to sources, “the facility will be available even after November 24, 2016.”
