Kolkata: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee responded powerfully to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's currency move to curb black moneyand said, "Withdraw this Draconian Decision”, and called the act "heartless and ill-conceived" and a financial chaos and disaster let loose on the common people of India."
"I want to know from PM how my poorest brothers sisters, who've recd their week's hard earned wage in one 500 re note will buy ata, chal, tomorrow?" she added.
Further CM Mamata Banerjee also emphasised that, “while she is strongly against black money and corruption she is deeply concerned about how common people will buy essentials tomorrow."
