Noida: Ac 22-year-old woman lost her eyesight on Thursday after she was attacked by her brothers by concentrated acid in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida area. Reportedly, the victim alleged that she was dumped in Kot Village of the area.

The incident came to light when the passerby saw women lying unconscious on the road with her face burnt.

According to the report, the victim was rescued by police from G.T. Road near the Loharali toll plaza, minutes after the horrific attack. As per report,  victim is admitted to  Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi with 50 per cent burns. She is a resident of Gulavati village, Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh and lives with her parents and two brothers.  Meanwhile, the doctors have mentioned that she had lost sight in both eyes by the time she was rushed to the hospital.

 The police are trying to nab the accused and they have registered a case under sections 326 (Punishment for throwing acid), 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code. The police added, the reason behind the attack is unclear as the woman is in a critical condition.

the Station House officer of Dadri police station, Neeraj Malik, told TOI that the woman has alleged that her brothers are the attackers and said they had also tried to kill her earlier. The brother took her for a drive on Thursday and midway they pushed her out of the car and threw acid on her face.
