PATNA: 3 elderly persons together a youth, who were allegedly in love with a widow, killed her fifth elderly paramour with her help in a Nalanda village in October this year, were detained on Sunday and sent to jail.

Police sources said that the body of Tirpit Sharma (75) of Balwapar neighborhood under Asthawan police station was recovered from the water tank of a newly constructed house behind Asthawan Polytechnic College on the intervening night of October 18-19 this year. His son Mitthu Kumar had registered an FIR with Asthawan police.

Pino Devi, 30, the widow of Ram Paswan of Makhdoompur under the Manpur police station area, allegedly had illegal relationships with at least four senior citizens and a young person, said Biharsharif Sadar SDPO Shibli Nomani. She resided close to Asthawan Polytechnic College in a shack.

Pino Devi purportedly invited Tripit Sharma to her house on October 19. When he reached there, the other four elderly lovers were already present there and a verbal fight broke out which soon turned violent and one of them smashed a brick on the head of Tripit Sharma.

He said that after growing estranged from the deceased, she plotted his murder together with her other lovers. He was put into the water tank when they carried him to the newly built but empty house. The police officer also said, the accused admitted to taking part in the crime. The other accused is Krishnandan Prasad (75), of the Kutubchak neighborhood in the Barbigha police station district.
