A woman in Jharkhand has been hit by the coronavirus after giving birth to a child. Her child has been admitted to the isolation ward of Rims Hospital. The Ranchi administration said that the employees of Sadar Hospital who had attended the woman will now be tested.


In his statement, Dr. V Kashyap, Medical Superintendent of RIMS, said, "Proper care is being taken of the child and all precautions are being taken. Experts and doctors have a detailed discussion. After a good sanitization, the child was allowed to breastfeed by the mother. The sample of the child will be sent for testing today.

There is a steady increase in the number of patients infected with the coronavirus across the country. At the same time, according to the data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, the total number of corona positive cases in India has crossed the figure of 14,000. In the last 24 hours, 991 new cases have been reported and 43 people have died. After this, the total number of corona infected patients across the country has increased to 14,378. In which 11,906 are active, 1992 people have become healthy or they have been discharged from hospital and 480 people have died. Today, 176 new cases have been reported in Gujarat, 41 in Rajasthan, 31 in Andhra Pradesh, 12 in Karnataka, four in Nagpur in Maharashtra and two in Meghalaya.
