Ghaziabad, A rape case filed by a woman against a police constable, now had denied about the incident. The woman from Seema Puri had lodged complaint against Sahibabad police station constable Kamal Yadav, said Assistant Superintendent of Police Asheesh Srivastav.

He added, that the woman also blamed the constable of duping her and taking Rs 71,000 rupees. She had also alleged that whenever she demanded her money back the constable threatened to rape her.

The constable after the complaint was immediately suspended by the district police chief.

According to sources, But in her statement before the magistrate under 164 CrPC, the woman denied the rape incident and narrated the story of the constable duping her of her money.

An investigation is on in this matter and constable will be under suspension till the enquiry concludes.
