According to reports, Sushma Chauhan, wife of senior BJP leader Anil Chauhan and former Zilla panchayat member, has died. At around 7:00 a.m. last Tuesday, she came home from the temple after performing puja, and as soon as she came home, she saw a herd of monkeys on the second floor of the house. Seeing this, Sushma started driving away the monkeys but in the meantime, the monkeys lunged at her.

Meanwhile, Sushma stepped in to defend herself and lost her balance and slipped down the stairs, and fell straight to the floor. Meanwhile, her husband Anil Chauhan and other family members took her to a private hospital in Shamli but doctors here declared Sushma Chauhan dead. The news of Sushma Chauhan's death has left the area in mourning and the last rites have been performed at Mayapur Farm House in the presence of thousands of people.
