The case which has recently surfaced, the police said that "two girls from Darjeeling had come for a vacation in Kasol Valley of Kullu. Perhaps while taking a selfie, their leg slipped and both of them drifted into it. While talking about the matter, the police said, "Two tourist girls in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh today fell into the Parvati river in the course of taking selfies, one of which has been saved but the other girl is said to be missing".

The police said that "two girls from Darjeeling had come for a walk-in Kasol of Manikarn Valley of Kullu. Perhaps while taking a selfie, her foot slipped and she fell into the river. The local people rescued one woman and took her out of the river but the other woman went away in the water stream".

According to Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh, "The divers are on the lookout for the girl." This case cannot be said to be the first such case because there have been many such cases which have been shocking before and due to drowning in them, women and men have lost their lives.
