Dumka: A case has been filed against a man in Jharkhand's Dumka district after he reportedly divorced his wife in order to give birth to three daughters. This was said by a police officer on Friday. A 28-year-old lady from Bichhia Pahari village has also accused her husband of torturing her emotionally and physically in a police complaint.
According to the officer, the police have filed a complaint under all sections of the IPC as well as the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019, which prohibits the practise of triple talaq immediately. On Thursday, a complaint in the triple talaq case was filed at Shikaripara police station. After giving birth to three daughters, the lady who married in 2011 said that her husband started harassing her. The officer stated that the matter is now being investigated.
Two women labourers, on the other hand, were crushed to death when a massive stack of paper rolls fell on them at a plant in the state's East Singhbhum district on Thursday. The event occurred at a paper factory in Jamdol village, Chakulia police station area of the district, according to the police officer.
