Recently, a case of crime has come to light from Tihar Kalan, a village in Sonipat. The father of a married woman, who committed suicide, has accused in-laws of killing her daughter for dowry. In this case, the police have registered a case against the husband and father-in-law on the father's statement. The body of the victim, Pooja (25) was found in a room in the house last Saturday night and police have taken possession of the body and launched an investigation. Earlier, it was reported that Pooja was hanged and killed and when the body was captured and sent by the police for post-mortem, the case came to light.
When the father of the pooja came to know about the incident, he has alleged dowry death and he said that "Pooja three years ago with Sunil of Tihar Kalan". She was tortured for dowry. Along with her husband, father-in-law Krishna also harassed her daughter.'
The police have now registered a dowry death case against the husband and father-in-law on Vedpal's statement and handed over the body to the family members after conducting a post-mortem. On the other hand, Thana Sadar Sonipat, investigating officer Krishna Kumar said, "In the case of the woman's death, her father has alleged dowry death. On which the case has been registered and an inquiry has been initiated," he said.
