Woman's body found floating in Sarpa river, police investigating

Chhindwara: The discovery of a floating body of a woman in the Sarpa river in the Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday created a sensation in the area. The woman's body was washed away in the flood water. The incident is being reported from Mohgaon in the district.  

According to reports, the woman was missing for the past four days, her body was found floating in the river on Saturday. Police are currently investigating the case. The woman is also being searched from the murder angle.

The deceased woman has been identified as 55-year-old Phoolwati, husband Soma Uike. The deceased used to work in the house on the farm of businessman Omkar Bramhe, while according to Omkar, the woman had not come to work for nearly a month. The woman's husband works as a cattle herder. The woman's husband told the police that his wife had been missing from the house for the past four days. He is not aware of how his body was found in the river. Police have conducted a post-mortem of the body and started investigating the case.
