Dehradun: The incidents and accidents has increased so much today that everyone is feeling insecure in their homes. Every day one or the other matter comes to the fore, due to which the heart and mind of every person starts to create chaos. A woman who went to cut grass in Kapkot area in Bageshwar, Uttarakhand, was burnt alive in a forest fire late Saturday. The other woman accompanying her is missing and the third is badly scorched. Nandi Devi, Indira Devi, a woman from Chachai village of Kapkot, and another woman from the village had gone to the grass in Pukhuni forest in Chachai on Saturday evening.

According to the information received, there was a fire in the forest. Nandi Devi wife Madan Ram was badly burnt due to the fire, and she died on the spot itself. Tara Ram's wife Indira Devi is missing, while the third woman accompanying her is reported to be badly scorched. Her name is not known. When these women did not return home, the people of the village investigated them and upon going into the forest, they came to know about the incident. Former Kapkot MLA Lalit Farswan said that the forest was on fire but even during the fire season, no forest department employee reached the spot.
