After investigation of the women's body whose body was found partially-naked in the bushes behind Ghata Masjid near Rajghat, police officials suspected that she may have been gang-raped before being murdered. According to the reports, police are trying to get some clues for the shirt buttons, pieces of cloth and liquor bottles. All the above-mentioned things have been found at the spot.

Police officials stated that few rickshaw pullers and drug addicts found near the park have been detained for questioning. As per the sources, the woman's body was strangled and her face was crushed with a stone. The stone with blood on it was found next to the body.

As per the spot analysis, her body was also dragged as there were bruises on her body. And as her face is not clear therefore the victim has not been identified. She was a woman with wheatish complexion who was wearing a soiled salwar suit, which was torn in the chest area.

The woman's body has been preserved at LNJP hospital for the next 72 hours, reports TOI. If nobody identifies or claims it within 72 hours then an autopsy will be done. Sources told the leading daily that the rigour mortis indicates the murder may have taken place on Sunday night.

According to the locals, the woman entered the park with some youths. They also told that the women used to live on the footpath near Rajghat. All the youths probably had liquor and then raped her. After molesting they may have strangled the women. Then she must have dragged into bushes and hit with the stone.

Police investigations are underway and they are trying to figure out about all the missing women who stayed on the footpath.
