Women in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi prepare rakhis for the PM Modi

Members of Muslim Women Foundation in Varanasi are preparing rakhis to be sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Raksha Bandhan celebrations. According to the reports hese women have been sending rakhis to PM Modi from 2013.

The head of the foundation asserted that as a father and an elder brother PM Modi is thinking about us and supporting us.

Worth mention here the initiative towards the triple talaq Bill is much appreciated by Muslim Women taken by PM Modi led Center.

On a related note the PM Modi led Cabinet cleared amendments to The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2017 which is popularly known as the triple talaq Bill. It has the government attempted to push through the Bill in Rajya Sabha on the last day of the monsoon session but it could not be taken up for consideration and passage because of lack of consensus among parties.Although the bill has cleared in Loksabha.

Muslim women along with Rakhi have sent a letter to PM Modi . With the reassurance of brother in the letter, it has been said that standing with Muslim women to harbor the respect of Indians all over the world and to take a tough decision to get rid of social evils.

Sadar Nazneen Ansari the head of Muslim Women Foundation said that the philosophy of Modi Rakhi is defined with faith, goodwill and patriotism. Sending a Rakhi- which is the scared thread of love is an initiative to curb the intentions of those fundamentalists who are engaged in spreading the seeds of hatred and spreading the distance between Hindus and Muslims.

This is not the first time when Muslim women of Varanasi have sent Rakhi to PM Modi, before that when he was CM of Gujarat, Rakhi was sent with an invitation to contest elections from Varanasi. PM Modi contested from Varanasi and he won. Since then, Muslim women has been sending Rakhi every year.
