The battered husband's wife was stabbed. She indiscriminately chopped him to death with an ax while he was fast asleep. She then went to the station and surrendered. The incident took place around midnight on Tuesday in Gorlagutta village under the Mandal. According to the police, Ramadasu of Gorlagutta village and Sunkulamma's son Wadde Chinna Anjaneyulu (35) were married 17 years ago to Narasimhudu and Lakshmidevi's daughter Dhanalakshmi of Palukuru village in Banaganapalle zone. They have daughters Poojita, Varshini and son Hemant.

He worked in a police factory and supported his family. Wade, who had been suspicious of his wife for some time, started harassing Banisai for drinking. Ikram got drunk on Tuesday and got into an altercation with his wife. The two then proceeded to sleep. In the middle of the night, the wife indiscriminately chopped and killed her husband, who was fast asleep. She then went to the station and surrendered. The matter is yet to be confirmed by the police. CI Keshavareddy and SI Suresh reached the spot and questioned him. The body was shifted to Banaganapalle for postmortem. The CI said the case was being registered and investigated as per the complaint of the family members
