New Delhi: Bharatiya Rashtriya Samiti (BRS) leader K Kavitha demanded on Wednesday that the Women's Reservation Bill should be introduced right away since it will increase the representation of women in Parliament.
"Everyone who criticises Prime Minister Narendra Modi gets contacted and interrogated. Everyone has the right to question, and this is wrong. The BJP tried to control commercial houses first before attempting to do the same with political groups ", she said. "We shall contend. Nothing we've done has been improper. They (ED) will phone us whenever they want, and we will go and respond "she added. 

The BRS MLC stated that the Women's Reservation Bill will aid in boosting women's participation in Parliament. "The Women's Reservation Law needs to be introduced right away. Also, it will contribute to a rise in female representation in the Parliament. For this, we are hosting a round table meeting. Today, those who back this measure will be contacted. We are attempting to put pressure on the government to bring this measure. Congress has also been asked to participate, "said Kavitha. Significantly, K Kavitha will preside over a roundtable discussion on the Women's Reservation Bill on Wednesday in the nation's capital.

As per a statement, during the conference, the Women's Reservation Law will be discussed with representatives of various political parties, civil society, women's organisations, and other national organisations.

In addition to beginning a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in the nation's capital on Friday, the BRS MLC demanded that the Women's Reservation Bill be introduced during the current budget session of Parliament.

The Supreme Court decided earlier today to list K Kavitha's appeal against the ED's summons to appear in court in the Delhi Excise Police case on March 24. The top court, however, declined to give her any sort of temporary respite in this situation.

Kavitha was questioned by ED on March 11 in connection with the matter. On March 16, ED has called her in relation to the situation once more.
