Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court has given its verdict on the Hijab controversy. The court did not consider the hijab to be a part of the compulsory religious practice of Islam. Now the politics has heated up on this issue. Asaduddin Owaisi has disagreed with the decision of the Karnataka High Court. Not only this, he appealed to other organizations including All India Muslim Personal Law Board to raise their voice against it.
AIMIM Chief and Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi wrote that, 'I do not agree with the decision of the Karnataka High Court. I have the right to disagree with the decision. I hope the petitioners will go to the Supreme Court. Owaisi wrote in the next tweet that I hope that along with AIMPLB, other organizations will also appeal against this decision. Let us tell you that the Karnataka High Court has turned down all the petitions challenging the ban on hijab in educational institutions. The court has said that wearing hijab is not a compulsory religious practice of Islam. The court further said that no case is made out for invalidating the February 5 government order.

At the same time, Shaista Amber, a member of the All India Muslim Women Personal Law Board, has welcomed the decision of the High Court on the demand for hijab. Regarding the decision of the High Court, he said that if educational institutions make such a rule, then we will have to follow it. It is true that hijab is not a necessary part of Islam. Women are told to live decently in Islam.
