He has achieved this goal by blasting his own national record in three thousand meter steeplechase. In this championship, he took 8 minutes 21.37 seconds. While the time to qualify for the Olympics is 8 minutes 22 seconds. He finished 13th in the championship. Avinash has broken his own national record twice in the last three days.
