Bhopal: Today is World Blood Donor Day and on this special occasion, State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted asking citizens to donate blood. In fact, state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted on his Twitter account and writes, "Donating blood is an act of great virtue. The practice of blood donation in a civilised and conscious society creates a lot of positive confidence. On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, I challenge all citizens to donate blood regularly.''

Let us tell you that World Blood Donor Day is celebrated every year on 14th June. It was the Who who declared the day as Blood Donation Day. Established in 2004, the programme aims to raise awareness about the need for safe blood products and express gratitude by encouraging donors to donate safe life saving blood.

Let us also tell all of you that it is considered to be a great task. However, if people donate blood voluntarily, adequate blood will be available in the blood banks so that the patient can be easily given blood if needed.
