London: New Zealand, who undergo some odd moments in front of Bangladesh spinners in the last match, will face a similar challenge to Afghanistan in their next World Cup match here on Saturday. New Zealand has yet to win both their matches and will want to continue the Vijay campaign but had to make a lot of effort to achieve a relatively small target against Bangladesh.
As per the information received from sources, Ross Taylor's 82 runs helped the New Zealand team win the match by two wickets. This is New Zealand's second win. Earlier, he had easily beat Sri Lanka by ten wickets. Taylor also acknowledged that facing spin well against Asian teams is crucial to the win.
With this, Taylor said, "Afghanistan has a number of good spinners and I think it's important to focus on it. But we have won both the matches so far and we are able to continue our Victory campaign. New Zealand are reliant on their fast bowlers in bowling. While Matt Henry has taken seven wickets in two matches so far, Trent Boult and Locke Ferguson have also given them well. The team in bat relies heavily on Captain Kane Williamson and Taylor.
