This year the international day of the environment is being hosted by India. Taking to aim a grand celebration. the main motive is to focus on people and indulge a great understanding of them for the people to realise that the environment is such a great asset to the society and we need to maintain it. 
The main emphasis should be laid on connecting the people and coming together for this social cause.
This year UN has put this duty on the shoulders of India, the theme is to refuse plastic as it is the main cause of environmental deterioration in the world.

The celebrations are to be scheduled between 1st to 5th of June and special event on 5th where all the state environment ministers will be gathered.

This social cause is a lot more than just celebration 
The NGOs have different ideas in mind related to the event and hence keeping their ideas in mind the event will be held
The session will discuss air pollution in the country, about the present issue and the future that will unfold. Their role is improving the ecosystem.

The theme as a whole challenges us to beat the use of plastic from our day to day life, as far as we can. The main motive is to find ways so that we can live a sustainable life.
It is high time to realise that we’ve already made enough blunders and its time to recollect them. We can become a better world if we all come in this together. Only if every individual understands that this is every single one’s duty to create a healthy environment.
