WHO to give news identity to Ayurveda, will launch app on International Yoga Day

New York: Indian Ayurveda is now going to be re-identified by the World Health Organization (WHO). The organization has now decided to provide information on yoga as well as diseases like diabetes, heart ailments and hypertension through the mobile app. This app can be launched on International Yoga Day.

Apart from a variety of yoga asanas, the mobile app will also provide information on Ayurveda medicines, including BGR-34, research by Indian scientists on diabetes. These drugs are said to have been produced by CSIR scientists after research on 500 Himachal medicines. Health and Wellness Centres across the country will also be connected with the app to provide public access to the 12,500 health and wellness centres of the AYUSH Ministry.

Dr. Singh, director of Morarji Desai Yoga Institute in New Delhi, said, "It is a new time. According to BS Reddy, WHO has entered into a contract with the ministry of AYUSH for the first time. His institute has also signed an agreement with the WHO. He will be told in detail about all the simplest of yoga through this app. People will also be informed about diabetes, heart and hypertension and their Ayurveda treatment.
