The Coronavirus has caused havoc among carmakers as well, after China, it is also getting hit in Italy where Italy's largest sports car manufacturer Lamborghini took precautionary measures and stopped production of cars for two weeks. Due to Corona, production of supercar maker Lamborghini's parent company Volkswagen AG is also likely to be affected. Lamborghini closed its Italy-based plant until 25 March, temporarily stopping the production of cars. In an emailed statement, the company said that the plant in the northern Italy city of Bologna is being closed, where cars of all brands are manufactured.

The Chinese market is the second-largest market in the world for Lamborghini, while Coronavirus originated in Wuhan city of China. Due to which there has been a tremendous decline in demand in China. Last year, the company sold 770 Lamborghini, including Hong Kong, Macau, in addition to China. Lamborghini sold 2734 cars in the US alone. According to company sources, he has taken this step in view of his social responsibility and safety sensitivity of the people. They say that they are constantly monitoring the situation and are ready to take necessary steps if needed.
