EMPOWER patients and families to be actively involved in the safe use of medication.
SCALE UP implementation of the WHO Global Patient Safety Challenge: Medication Without Harm.

Here are 5 ways to ensure the safety of the Patient.

Maintain Hygiene: Various diseases spread because of poor hygiene in hospitals. Hygiene is very important for the safety of not only the patient but also for the betterment of the family members and hospital staff. Healthcare providers should use alcohol-based sanitizer regularly, as well as have open conversations with patients about the importance of hand hygiene.
Proper compliance with Safety Protocols:  It is important that administrators include all managers and employees in hospitals and health-related places to take appropriate decision-making processes and perform regular organizational performance reviews. Regular reviews provide a dynamic indicator of whether an organization has achieved its intended outcomes. It also helps to check if the patient is satisfied or not.
Proper Communication: In health care centers and hospitals communication is very important. Strategies in the guide include communication, collaboration, and coordination among caregivers; ensuring clinician involvement and shared accountability; comprehensive planning and risk assessment throughout hospital stays; using standardized care transition plans which help to serve the best services and facilities to patients.
Digital Technology: At the present time also in various hospital the details about patient health is maintained on paper. Healthcare workers care for several patients during their shifts; each one with varying needs and medications. The use of monitoring technology and digital technology can help nurses and physicians verify that they’re always following the right procedure for the right patient and that they’re keeping on top of each patient’s needs.
Careful Treatment with Verification: Your one mistake can take the patient life therefore carefulness is very important in the hospital. There are plenty of stories about a patient having their right knee replaced when it was actually the left knee that was scheduled for operation or about a person who went for an ear check-up and his hand cut by the doctor. These mistakes can be avoided if verification policies are adopted in hospitals.
