World Toilet Day is celebrated every year on 19 November in the whole world. The purpose of this special day is to try to connect and educate the people of the world and their communities to break the stigma of cleanliness and cooperate on issues related to cleanliness. The silence/flushing on the issue of toilets and sanitation is fatal. This day is a day to raise awareness about those who do not have access to toilets, despite the human right to clean water and sanitation. This is the day to do something about it.
The purpose of this day is to bring global attention to the crisis of cleanliness. In the year 2013, the United Nations General Assembly has officially designated 19 November as World Toilet Day. It has been coordinated by United Nations-Water in collaboration with government and partners.
In India, the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi started the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a few years ago, whose great impact has been seen all over the country. There is a huge awareness among people in the country about toilets. A large number of toilets have been constructed from the village to the cities. Because of which the dirt has decreased. On the occasion of World Toilet Day, countrymen have to strengthen this resolve further.
