In such a situation, to make people aware, the United Nations World Tourism Organization keeps the theme of World Tourism Day different every year and it was decided by the United Nations to celebrate September 27 to 1980 as World Tourism Day.

On the same day, 27 September was chosen for World Tourism Day because the Constitution of the World Tourism Organization was accepted on this day in 1970. Let us tell you that in 2018 more than 1 crore foreign tourists came to India. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Tourism, 1.65 billion domestic tourists visited in 2017 and the growth in tourism is increasing day by day.
