World Youth Skills Day 2020: Aim is to make youngsters skilful by 2030

One of the 365 days of the year is devoted to a particular thing. Today is dedicated to the youth of the world. World Youth Skills Day started in 2015, 5 years ago. It was started by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 November 2014. The aim is to provide better opportunities for the youth and help them grow.

During this period, the United Nations General Assembly had urged all the countries of the world to support the youth of their countries in skill development. In view of this, PM Modi started the Skill India campaign in 2015 on this day. The important objective of this day in India is to train more than 400 million youngsters in different skills by the year 2020.

The special thing is that this topic is listed for the year 2030 along with the upcoming Sustainable Development Goals. Its aim is to work on the following two goals, education, employment and skills. For now, there is a need to give more edge to PM Modi's Skill India campaign and the United Nations General Assembly's World Youth Skills Program. The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana of 2016 also comes under this scheme and in the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) about 40 technical fields like Construction, Electronic & Hardware, Food Processing, Furniture Fitting, Handicraft, Gems & Jewellery and Leather Technology is included.
