World's Biggest Cruise Ship Got Hit at the Dock

New Delhi:- The Princess Cruises ship docked at Pier 27 in San Francisco on Thursday morning. The shipping company Ruby Princess made an "unexpected contact" with the dock at 6 am.

A spokeswoman for Princess said in an emailed statement that she arrived at the port of San Francisco at 5 a.m. local time.

"No one was injured and no guests or crew were ever in danger," a spokeswoman said. "The ship has safely come alongside and her disembarkation is complete." The ship was returning from a round trip to Alaska, which left on June 26, according to Cruise Mapper.

Passenger Paul Zasso told ABC7, "I was so close to the dock that I realized it was turning pretty quickly. I was midship, on the port side, looking out the window. I got to the dock," he said. Bay Area news.

A Princess spokeswoman said an investigation into the extent of damage to the ship and the pier is ongoing. The departure time for the next voyage is "not yet decided", but boarding began at 11 am local time.

This kind of incident is not the only one that has happened in recent years. In 2019, the MSC Cruises ship MSC Opera collided with a dock and a tourist riverboat in Venice, Italy, and earlier this year Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Epic collided with a dock in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Crew members inspected the damage to a San Francisco cruise ship Thursday morning after it crashed into a pier on arrival.

In a statement to KPIX, Princess Cruises confirmed that the cruise ship Ruby Princess made "unexpected contact with the docks at Pier 27."

The World’s Biggest Cruise Ship got caught by the dock not disturbing the people inside but could have risked their lives. The ship automatically got slipped and hit the dock on Thursday morning. The crack that the ship had was visible and was simply big enough.
