Wrestling Federation of India to terminate women's coach Andrew Cook

The whole world is battling the corona virus. Corona virus had on the sports world affected by the transition. The organization of the Games in India was banned. After the government declared a lock-down, everyone was instructed to follow it while at home. But in Lockdown 4, players have been allowed to practice following the rules. However, the news is that the Indian wrestling federation has become displeased due to the absence of online coaching by the female wrestler coach.

In fact, WFI has agreed to terminate the services of Andrew Cook, the coach of women wrestlers. It is also being told that he refused to participate in the online session of Sports Authority of India (Sai) on non-payment of salary. However, when asked about this from the American coach, he flatly denied this.

When the national camp for women wrestlers in Lucknow was suspended due to Corona virus, in March, Cook left for Seattle. According to WFI, Cook was approached by SAI officials to attend a session like e-Pathshala but he reportedly said that he would not participate until he got his pending salary. In this regard, WFI Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar said, 'This behavior is not acceptable. This shows that Cook works only for salaries and is not obsessed with Indian wrestling. He attended some sessions but we did not like his behavior.
