The Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi is all set to launch the Mi 11 on Monday, December 28. CEO Lei Jun has now confirmed that the flagship smartphone will not provide a charger inside the box.

He said that the move has been taken up to reach its environmental goals. Although the move to reduce the carbon footprint is a wise decision - not bundling the charger with the retail box could mean users will have to buy a new charger at an additional cost. The strategy is similar to Apple's when the Cupertino giant decided to not include power adapters with its Apple Watch Series 6, Watch SE, and the new iPhone 12 range.

Lei Jun via Weibo also shared an image of the retail box which gets a thin minimalistic design and gets the number '11' written on it. Earlier leaks of the Mi 11 have indicated that the phone will arrive with a triple camera setup at the back panel and a 108-megapixel sensor. The phone will arrive with four colour finishes and will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
