For users, Xiaomi's VP and India MD Manu Kumar Jain wrote an open letter explaining the math behind the high price of the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20. The letter states that the Redmi K20 series will be introduced in India. Jain says the company wants to give users a high-end user experience. The Redmi K20 series is designed for users who want to use the latest and improved technology.

In his statement, Manu Kumar Jain further explained why the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro have been made costlier than earlier devices and why there is such a difference in the price of India and China. The Redmi K20 Pro is a true flagship phone that comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor that works 45 percent faster than the Snapdragon 845. Apart from the processor, the phone is equipped with features such as horizontal AMOLED display, fire and ice design, no display aids, 7 generation in-display sensors, game turbo 2, 48 megapixel AI camera, etc. This is the only phone that is the cheapest in the list of flagship smartphones. Usually, with such specifications, the company launches between Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000.

Manu Jain, who took over the Redmi K20, said it also follows the DNA of the Redmi K20 Pro. The Snapdragon 730 is powered by a Snapdragon 710, which is faster than 40 percent. The Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 855 processors are far more expensive than their downgraded variants Snapdragon 710 and Snapdragon 845. Jain said that over time the latest technology has become affordable. He said that we could not use the old processor on the phone or we could have waited for six months for the components to become cheaper. But it was against delivering our latest innovations to you. Manu Kumar Jain said that most brands do not manufacture flagship smartphones in India, so the price of phones in India is 20 to 40 as compared to the international price. The fee increases. But Redmi is not so in terms of the K20 series. Jain says that 65 percent of the price of the series is being sourced locally. That's why there is a price difference between the two countries.
