Yahoo reveals Modi is most searched person on search engine

According to Yahoo! Search Engine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the most searched on Yahoo India this year. After Prime Minister Modi, most of the time people have searched the late actor Vinod Khanna and US President Donald Trump. 

In its 2017 review report made for India, Yahoo said that in addition to Modi this year, other politicians, including Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and leader of AIADMK, VK. Shashikala has been searched most often. Simultaneously, people have searched the basis most often after the commodity and service tax (GST).

Each year, Yahoo compiles a list of all the things in which people show the most interest and who are in the highest trends on the internet. Apart from Modi, in the field of politics, people have also searched about Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, President Ram Nath Kovind and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. 

Apart from this, the Indian women's cricket team captain Mitali Raj, actress Athiya Shetty, Mira Rajput have also been in the limelight. These names include Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Malaika Arora, Alia Bhatt and Virat Kohli.

Apart from the individual personalities, Yahoo also revealed the top searched words this year. Aadhaar was No. 1 on the list of Most Searched Newsy terms of 2017. Close on its heels was the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the major reform in India’s indirect taxation system. GST was also the Top Business Story That Shook the Nation.​
