A new Zen version of the Yamaha MT15 has been introduced. Its name is Yamaha MT15 V2.0, the updated necked streetfighter is the base on its faired sports bike R15 V4 which was introduced in September 2021. Bookings for this latest version of MT-15 started earlier this month.
A few months ago, there was a lineup for the new MT-15 launch since the closure of the old model. The 2022 MT-15 is available with four color options of Cyan Storm (New), Racing Blue (New), Ice Fluo-Vermilion and Metallic Black. All other updates are also in accordance with the full faired sibling. The starting price of Yamaha MT15 V2.0 is Rs 1.6 lakh (ex-showroom).
Unlike the R15 V4, the MT15 has not received any significant changes in its design. In fact, most of its signature design elements include a single-pod projector LED headlamp with an eyebrow-sized LED DRL, which is moving forward with the outgoing model. Other styling highlights include muscular bodywork, a rized tail section, and a side-slung upswest exhaust muffler.
Let us know that these qualified visible updates are the new front forks that are anodized in golden color. Talking about front forks, the front suspension unit is now being given inverted forks just like superbike siblings. The rear suspension is being done by mono-shock with preload adjustability mounted on a box type of swingarm. It has a 282mm disc in the front and a 220mm disc in the rear.
The Yamaha MT-15 is being delivered to you with a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine VVA technology. In its new form, this motor can generate a power of 18.4 PS at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.1 Nm at 7,500rpm. It also has a 6-speed gearbox.
