Noida: The Municipal Authority is engaged in increasing connectivity between Noida International Airport and IGI Airport at Zaver. Authority has sent a proposal to the Central Government to run rapid rail from New Ashok Nagar to Jewar Airport. The distance between the two places will be about 50 kilometers. This project will cost about 8680 crores rupees.
The Yamuna Authority had earlier sent a similar proposal to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), but NCRTC rejected the proposal. Now this proposal has been sent to the central government, so that funding can be done. Yamuna Authority CEO Arunvir Singh said, 'The process of connecting Jewar Airport with IGI Airport is underway. The Yamuna Authority has studied this in view of the government organization rights. Optional includes rapid rail. There is a distance of 88 km between IGI and Jever.
Arunvir Singh said that, 'The proposal for the Rapid Rail has been sent to the Central Government. It envisages running a rapid rail between New Ashok Nagar to Jewar. Will proceed under the guidelines of the Central Government. This will be done with the help of Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
