Traveling from Noida to Agra has now become expensive. Toll tax on Yamuna Expressway has increased from October 1, due to which vehicles passing through there will have to pay more money than before. Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has released new toll rates on this 165 km long expressway. Under the new rules, toll tax has been increased by 12 percent.

Yamuna Expressway toll tax increased: YEIDA has released new toll rates for all types of vehicles. According to the new rate, light vehicles, cars, and jeeps will now have to pay a toll of Rs 2.95 per kilometer for passing through Yamuna Expressway. Earlier, these vehicles were charged Rs 2.60 per kilometer toll. Toll tax has also been increased for two-wheelers. Earlier two-wheelers had to pay a toll of Rs 1.25 per kilometer, but now it has increased to Rs 1.50 per kilometer. It is worth noting that Yamuna Expressway is one of the few expressways where toll tax is also levied on two-wheelers.

Toll fare from Noida to Agra: If you travel from Noida to Agra, the one-way fare by car or jeep will be around Rs 500. Whereas, for a two-wheeler, this fare will be around Rs 250.

Why was the toll tax increased? YEIDA CEO Arun Veer Singh said that since 2021-22, Jaypee Infratech Limited, which is the toll operator of Yamuna Expressway, was demanding to increase the toll tax. But considering the interest of the general public, they were refused many times. He said that there was no increase in the toll fee for the last three years, whereas there should have been an average increase of 4 percent every year. The 12 percent increase done this time is equal to the average increase of three years. So, if you are planning to go to Agra from Noida, then plan your journey keeping in mind this increased toll tax.
