On Friday, manager of Yaya Toure, Pep Guardiola, has confirmed that the player will leave Manchester City when his contract expires at the end of this season. The 34-year-old player midfield joined City from Barcelona in 2010. After this, he became a driving force after City's achievements over the past decade.

In the 2011 FA Cup final, Toure scored the winning goal against Stoke City, ending a 35-year trophy drought for his club. And hence a maiden Premier League crown succeeded the following season. In the 2014 EFL Cup final, Ivory Coast international scored a victory over Sunderland and made the final penalty when City recovered the trophy in a shoot-out against Liverpool two years later.

A second Premier League title came in 2013-14, with Toure making a striking 20 league goals from midfield. This was his standout season at the Etihad Stadium. He has been a more peripheral personality this time throughout as Guardiola's City have wandered to the title, with all nine of his top-flight features coming from the bench.

City will lift the Premier League trophy after their game versus Huddersfield Town on Sunday and Guardiola confirmed Brighton and Hove Albion's visit in their final home match of the campaign will be a celebratory farewell for Toure.
