Bangalore: Karnataka politics has once again made headlines. CM BS Yediyurappa has resigned from his post on Monday. There has been speculation for a long time that Yeddyurappa may resign, now that the government has completed two years on Monday, he has suddenly announced his resignation.

BS Yediyurappa has announced his resignation at an event. During this time he was also emotional. BS. Yediyurappa said he will continue to work for the people of Karnataka, he has gone through many ordeals. He will continue to strengthen the party. Yediyurappa is one of the top leaders of Karnataka, and now that he resigned as CM, BS Yediyurappa's supporters also looked emotional. Yediyurappa's supporters were seen crying in Bengaluru.

On the other hand, the heads of the most effective Lingayat monasteries in Karnataka have called the decision to remove Yediyurappa wrong. Abbots have warned that the BJP will have to face the consequences. The former CM was removed from office by the BJP in 2013 over allegations of corruption. As a result, the BJP was reduced to just 40 seats in the Assembly. It will be interesting to see how the BJP achieves Lingayat after the removal of Yediyurappa in Karnataka
