It can be said truly that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is one of the most loved films of 2013, and till date, cinephiles love to watch the film on television. From Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s sizzling chemistry, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin in supporting roles, to its blockbuster tracks, the film had go-la la-la written all over it. 

Today, on May 31, 2019, YJHD clocks six years and it can safely be said that six years back, the director of the film, Ayan Mukerji, gave the industry one of the most successful coming-of-age romantic film. Here are the Reasons we still love it:

New-age romance

Nowadays, content is king and more than anything else, audiences want a good plot and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani promised just that. Plus, what added to the film was the fact that the film revolved around the life of five friends and looking at the graph, films based on coming-of-age romance always do good because audiences especially, youth love to watch such films.

Blockbuster songs

Half a battle is won when the music of a film becomes chartbuster and such was the case with Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani that prior to the film’s release; fans were drooling over its songs. From Badtameez Dil, Balam Pichkari, Dilliwali Girlfriend to Kabira and others, the music composer- Pritam, did an amazing job with the music.

Shooting locations

From the picturesque palaces of Udaipur to the snow-clad mountains of Nainital to Ranbir’s escapades in foreign locations, one major reason why the film was loved by one and all is because of the shooting locations. Be it Ranbir and Deepika’s adventurous tales of Nainital or Kalki’s big fat Indian wedding in Udaipur, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is always remembered for its locations.

Both of them are one of the most talented and good looking actors of B-town and when the two come together for a film, it creates magic, and YJHD did exactly that.

From their Dosti which later snowballed into love, Ranbir as Bunny and Deepika as Naina Talwar won everyone’s hearts with their acting and sizzling chemistry and if ever there is a sequel to the film, we’d request the makers to rope in Ranbir and Deepika again. Besides, the supporting actors- Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Kolechin did an exceptional job, too.
