Patna: The people of Bihar are suffering from cold these days. 15 districts of sob are reeling under severe cold wave conditions. In view of the weather conditions, cold day alert has been sounded in 15 districts including Patna. The maximum temperature in Patna, Gaya, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada and south-west parts of the state, Buxar, Bhojpurandangabad, Rohtas, Bhabhua, Jahanabad and Arwal has come down from normal.
In view of the rising cold conditions, the meteorological department has issued yellow alert in these districts for the next 24 hours. Apart from these districts, Purya has been declared as cold day. The weather department has announced a cold day in case the maximum temperature is reduced by four or more degrees in two consecutive days. The meteorological dept, Patna, has instructed people to avoid severe cold for the next 24 hours.
A red alert has been sounded in the wake of cold conditions in Forbesganj. The cold conditions here have increased further in the last 24 hours. Heavy cold conditions continued in the district on Sunday. The highest temperature in the state was 20.5 degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur while the lowest minimum temperature remained at 5 degrees Celsius in Dehri.
