Dubai: At least 70 army personnel are reported dead in a missile attack by Houthi rebels on a mosque in Marib, Yemen. Medical and military sources have given information in this regard on Sunday. Those killed and injured in the attack were brought to the hospital in Marib city.

A medical source from the hospital informed the local media that at least 70 people have died in the attack on Saturday. Yemen has strongly condemned this "cowardly and terrorist" attack by President Abedrabbo Mansoor Hadi. Earlier it was reported that at least 25 soldiers were killed in a missile attack by Shiite rebels at a military base in Yemen.

While giving information, Yemen officials had said that at least 25 soldiers were killed and about 10 others were injured in the missile attack in Marib. Authorities had expressed apprehension of increasing the death toll. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Saudi-backed forces are continuing attacks on the Houthi rebels' bases, after which the rebels launch this missile.
