Yogi Adityanath meets PM Modi to discusses formation of govt

New Delhi: Following the Bharatiya Janata Party's landslide victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Yogi Adityanath, the state's Chief Minister-designate, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders on Sunday to discuss the formation of a new government in the state.

Adityanath's meeting with Prime Minister Modi lasted nearly two and a half hours, during which he had a lengthy conversation concerning the state's next government formation.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister-designate also met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda to discuss the state's political strategy. Yogi also met Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh at the latter's residence. In Uttar Pradesh, a new government will be created, which will need the selection of a new Council of Ministers and the assignment of departments. All of the BJP leaders met with Adityanath to discuss this.

Today, March 14, Yogi Adityanath is expected to meet with Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Anurag Thakur, and President Ram Nath Kovind.
