Lucknow: In the case of the death of Naib Nazir in Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has shown seriousness and ordered the suspension of the SDM there. The movement has started in the whole of Uttar Pradesh over the death of Naib Nazir. In many districts including Varanasi, tehsil workers have come to a standstill. The employees are demanding the arrest of the SDM. SP Satpal Antil, quoting the report, has informed that Lalganj Tehsil SDM Gyanendra Vikram Singh is alleged to have allegedly killed 57-year-old Sunil Kumar Sharma, posted as Naib Nazir in the tehsil office, along with his three accomplices, on March 30 by entering his house and dragging him out of the house.  

According to Superintendent of Police Satpal Antil, Sharma, who was seriously injured, was admitted to the hospital. From there, he was referred to the medical college, where he succumbed to his injuries on the intervening night of April 2-3 during treatment. He said that the police have registered a case against Deputy District Magistrate Gyanendra Vikram Singh and three unidentified persons on the basis of a complaint lodged by Sudhir Sharma, son of the deceased.

A tweet by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Monday said that CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the complaint received against Gyanendra Vikram, posted as Deputy District Magistrate, Lalganj, regarding the death of Sunil Kumar Sharma posted in Tehsil Lalganj of Pratapgarh and directed to suspend him.
